Abcam plc is both the UK operating company and the holding company for the group. There are a number of trading subsidiaries, which are 100 per cent. owned by Abcam plc, namely; Abcam Inc (US), Mitosciences Inc (US), Ascent Scientific LLP (US) Abcam KK (JP), Ascent Scientific Ltd (UK) and Abcam (Hong Kong) Ltd.
The Company's issued share capital is currently 183,537,564 ordinary shares of 0.2 pence of which 17.24% are owned by directors. The Company has nil treasury shares, and there are no restrictions on transfers of ordinary shares.
