High throughput lab facility operational
Construction of the new high throughput production facility in Cambridge was completed on schedule and work in the new labs has now commenced. The facility, which is one of the world's most advanced antibody production laboratories, is designed to produce an increasing number of products to add to Abcam's online catalog. These new antibodies will complement the existing catalog of products produced both in-house and by trusted suppliers.
The new laboratories occupy 17,622 square feet over two floors and offer high throughput antibody purification and characterization facilities. This expansion will allow Abcam to increase its monoclonal antibody production significantly over the next six years, enhancing the quality, range and availability of products offered to our customers and maintaining Abcam's position as market leader in the provision of antibodies and reagents.
